After almost two years off from performing, not including surprise club gigs, and a year of a lot of personal change (he moved to LA, became a father, and broke up the E Street Band), Bruce agreed to do two acoustic shows for the Christic Institute, a public watchdog agency, with Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne. Many, many rumors of Bruce's recording activities circulated in the spring and summer of 1990, and many people wondered if Bruce was going to debut any new songs. Between the two nights, six new songs were played. This show included the debuts of "Red Headed Woman," "When The Lights Go Out," "57 Channels," and "Real World." Other highlights from this show include a slow version on piano of "10th Avenue Freezeout," "Thunder Road" (Bruce forgets the words), and "My Hometown," as well as the acoustic premiere of "Darkness on the Edge of Town." "Real World" is performed on piano, which most fans prefer to the version later released on Human Touch.

As Bruce explored other musical routes throughout the 1990's, fans often dreamed of Springsteen rejoining forces with the E Street Band on-stage once again. It looked like that was going to happen in 1995 when they recorded new songs for Bruce's "Greatest Hits" package and even did a few appearances together, but it was not to be, as Bruce's muse leaned more toward the quiet, acoustic sound of "The Ghost of Tom Joad."
In 1998, however, as his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction loomed near, Bruce's attentions focused on putting together "Tracks," a four-disc set of outtakes, alternate takes, and B-sides from his career. One can surmise that with all the retrospection, Bruce realized he wanted to play with a band again, his band, and on December 8, 1998, Shore Fire Media issued a press release saying Bruce Springsteen would tour with the E Street Band in 1999, and the fans' dreams were finally realized.
The initial theory was that the tour was in support of "Tracks," but the majority of the songs played each night were from "Born to Run," "Darkness on the Edge of Town," and "The River," arguably the strongest of Bruce's studio output. Only 23 songs from "Tracks" ended up being played over the course of the tour, some of those only once.
However, Bruce certainly didn't forget the long-unplayed nuggets, as he seemed to pull out some serious shockers as the course progressed. The tour debut of "New York City Serenade" had jaws dropping everywhere, and it seemed like nothing was out of the realm of possibility on the tour.

With a new album, it was only a matter of time before the tour was to begin. And then on July 10, that announcement came: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are hitting the road in the second half of 2002 for a "barnstorming" tour, playing 46 shows in 46 cities, 39 in North America and 7 in Europe.
With only one night in each city, the first leg of this tour looks to be vastly different than the 1999-2000 "reunion" tour, when extended stays on that tour saw Bruce pulling rarities out each night. But playing one night per city, set lists for the 2002 tour will most likely be focused and not vary much from night to night, much like the American leg of the 1988 Tunnel of Love Express Tour. Time will tell, though, if that theory holds up.
Shore Fire's press release did say, however, that an Australian leg, as well as a return to Europe are in the plans for 2003, plus an additional North American leg that will include "multiple shows in major cities throughout the summer."

Audience tape - Set includes Cadillac Ranch and another Incident on 57th Street solo spot. The Fuse returns to the set for the first time since the european shows.
This is a very good sounding audience recording. An enthusiastic crowd, and Bruce at top form IMO. Great solo piano Incident, Bruce flubbs the first few notes on the piano and then the crowd realizes what's coming.

In April 2006, Springsteen released his latest album, We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions, an American roots music project focused around a big folk sound treatment of 15 songs popularized by Pete Seeger. It was recorded with a large ensemble of musicians, including only Patti Scialfa, Soozie Tyrell, and the Miami Horns from past efforts. In contrast to previous albums, this was recorded in only three one-day sessions, and frequently one can hear Springsteen calling out key changes live as the band explores its way through the tracks. The Bruce Springsteen with The Seeger Sessions Band Tour began the same month, featuring the 18-strong ensemble of musicians dubbed the Seeger Sessions Band. Seeger Sessions material was heavily featured, as well as a handful of (usually drastically rearranged) Springsteen numbers. The tour proved very popular in Europe, selling out everywhere and receiving some excellent reviews, but newspapers have reported that attendance at U.S. shows has often been sparse.
Live in London 2006 – Most Probably, this is the BBC4 Sessions if not this is one of the Wembley arena shows-
