Gold The Jam I Believe In You Interactive Days Of Wild Now Ride Acknowledge Me Dark Instrumental Solo Race Peach Drum Solo Endorphine Machine - Canal+ French TV 5 May 1994
Prince played very few shows during his 1994 European tour. The sound quality is good, but nothing great. This is the first live performance of Gold, to my knowledge. The inclusion of the Canal+ performance of Endorphine Machine is a nice filler, but filler none the less. The packaging is nice, but nothing special.
The Zoo TV Tour was an elaborately-staged, multimedia concert tour that took place in arenas and stadiums over 1992 and 1993. It was a show that operated on many levels; designed to instill a feeling of "sensory overload" in its audience, it used the video age for much of its inspiration. In 2002, Q magazine called it "still the most spectacular rock tour staged by any band." Different phases of the tour were also known as Zoo TV – The Outside Broadcast, Zooropa, and Zoomerang. The tour began in Lakeland, Florida on February 29, 1992 and ended in Tokyo, Japan on December 10, 1993. It comprised five legs, 157 shows, was seen by about 5.4 million people, and was the highest-grossing tour in North America of 1992. If U2's 1991 album Achtung Baby was, as lead singer Bono said, "the sound of four men chopping down The Joshua Tree", then the Zoo TV Tour marked a shift from the band's previously achingly earnest stage performances that had typified their previous tours in the 1980s. Differing from all previous and subsequent U2 tours, the Zoo TV shows opened with six to eight consecutive new songs before playing any older material. The songs were complemented by a myriad of bewildering visual effects.
This is a bootleg called 10” reels published by an italian “grey Label “ U2 – U201/02.
It is said to have been recorded in Europe 1993. Full Info here
Parliament-Funkadelic is a Funk music collective headed and refereed by George Clinton , that specialised in P Funk and performed under the guise of not only Parliament and Funkadelic (two bands comprised of the same members, recording for different labels), but also in a score of offshoot groups and solo ventures. The Polyphonic Spree is a self-described "choral symphonic rock" group from the Dallas, Texas area. The band generally consists of a 10-person choir, a pair of keyboardists, as well as a percussionist, drummer, bassist, guitarist, flautist, trumpeter, trombonist, violinist, violist, harpist, French horn player, a pedal steel player, theremin player, and an electronic effects person. Individual members and the number of musicians, however, vary, because of the flexibility necessary in travelling with such a large band. Tim DeLaughter is musical director and contributes lead vocals, as well as keyboards, guitar, and percussion.

On September 13th, 1969 at University of Toronto's Varsity Stadium was a concert Rolling Stone magazine called the second most important event in rock & roll history: The Toronto Rock & Roll Revival. Chris Walter was there. When Alice Cooper Band arrived on stage he wrotte: "where did these guys come from? I had never heard of them before.. They all had beautiful waist length hair like they were on the set of a Pantene commercial. They really rocked though, and they had a guy who played a keyboard which controlled the lights. This was before Alice Cooper were painting their faces or cutting off heads on stage and before the singer became known as Alice Cooper. Just a great band doing great original rock & roll. They did throw a couple of bags of chicken feathers all over the crowd though.

Nick Slater and Lanx's (aka Kevin Lancaster) stage name was the consequence of having amplified attacks of drum-machine seizures in their loft. Even the strongest prescriptions could not calm the frenzy of 12 years of multi-faceted producing and DJing that would ensue before they landed at Finger Lickin'. As children of the dance revolution would remember, many moons ago, Nick and Lanx were known as the chart topping Shades of Rhythm. Two of the three, the reprehensible Nick and Lanx along with vocalist Rayan Gee, were then responsible for tunes like 'Sweet Sensation', 'Homicide', 'Ecstasy' and 'Sound of Eden' - tracks so seminal, they're likely to induce misty-eyed rumblings about “the good old days”. More salt water may well in thy eyes if footage of Nick and Lanx's appearance on Top Of The Pops is ever - hesitantly- unearthed. But some ten years later from their big bang, Nick and Lanx put the snapshots of the rave days into an album and re-invented themselves as the Drumattic Twins. Having discovered the downside of being tied down to the majors, they set up their own label in the late 90s and released a handful of Drumattic tracks and started working with Lee Coombs. Their mutual passion for electro soon led to setting their imprint with their label Freakazoid, which has huge underground support worldwide. Together with Coombs, the Drumattics went on to remix Arthur Baker's early house classic Criminal Element Orchestra's 'Put The Needle On The Record', as well as Dreadzone, Deejay Punk Roc, Mike Monday and old rave classic 'Psychotropic' by Hypnosis. Through their long-time friendship with Sir Coombs, Nick and Lanx met the loco lads at Finger Lickin' where the Twins parked their spaceship. Nick and Lanx already carried with them the wealth of the pre-emptive jewels that would ensure their success - solid sparkles of funk, house, hip hop, and of course, breakbeat - before the twosome joined the Finger Lickin' ranks. So, it was no surprise that their debut album entitled “Drumattical” on the label in July 2001 was rich in communal messages and positive press. Their first single release on Finger Lickin' 'Thinkin About You' led to licensing deals and scooped sales worldwide. As the year progressed, the “Drumattical” album samplers occupied the DJ Beats chart and saw massive club support from the underground breaks DJs right up to Boy George, Judge Jules and Pete Tong. And wedged into the latter end of 2002 is Drumattic Twins' 'Feelin Kinda Strange', currently being plastered on Australia's Triple J airwaves as well as becoming a hit in Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands. Spain, Holland and France's Transmusicales festival have undergone a dose of Drumattic Decks'n'Effects with the show being an exhibition of Nick on vinyl control and Lanx on keyboards with sampler navigation. The Drumattic's studio is based in Peterborough where Nick has run his successful weekly club night Bungalow (not quite house!), while partner in drum-criminology Lanx is based in the north of the country. Geographical constitutions need not be a problem for these two for they have defied physical laws by making a modem another essential production tool: Nick and Lanx record over the Internet! “We use an active text window alongside our sequencers…” Nick explains, “…and samplers to engage in file and sample transfers while continuously online. It's really just like being in a studio with someone but you can't see them.” The pair are part of only a handful of artists who use technology in this way. If bitten by inspiration or a phonecall by Lee Coombs in the middle of the night, feedback on the latest drum-sequence is merely an emoticon away. Add 12 years of working together, and you have yourself dance music that will compress time and space around you with its explosive, dramatic package of smokin' sound. Into the bass and blackhole you go. It's no wonder the standard is out of this world. 2004 was a whirlwind for the Twins. They reformed as Shades Of Rhythm and are performing live sets with MC Rayan at some of the biggest clubs in the UK as well as wowing crowds with their amazing decks 'n' fx sets. The release of their single “Le Funky” / “Rock Steady” received rave reviews from anyone with a shred of musical taste and they played to sell out crowds in every city on their massive Australian tour.
With their already fifth album released, belong to the veterans in Heavy Rock scene. I had listened to some of their songs in the past and I was happy to get the chance to listen to a full-length from this band.
The music of the Spaniards is very groovy and energetic. The opening track “Protestantes” is a prime example for the power of this band, which should be also unleashed in a live situation. The entire record is full of diversified songs, managing to keep up the interest of the listener. Due to a good sound and a thick production, songs like “Baga, Biga, Higa” or “El Muro De Berlin” prove their strength. Unfortunately, not all thirteen songs have such catchy hooks like aforementioned tracks. But they also have no filler on it. One discussion point could be the vocal performance of singer Birgi, who sounds like a Spanish Max Cavalera (SOULFLY/ex-SEPULTURA). Personally, I think the Spanish vocals are a welcome change to the music, but you have to accustom with the singing style. The musicians play very tight and especially the guitar section has a lot of great riffs to offer. Bass and drums serve for some groove and rhythm. As said before, the production of „Sinónimo De Ofender” is really powerful. But the sound is still snotty and not polished, it’s how it meant to be on a Heavy Rock record.
“Sinónimo De Ofender“ is altogether a decent album with songs, which should be perfect for concerts. As comparison, I would name Germans BÖHSE ONKELZ, they have a similar direction, but the Spaniards aren’t that simple like the ONKELZ. The guys know how to make a party and the Spanish singing shouldn’t be big problem after some spins. Worth to check it out.

Basement Jaxx started in Brixton, South London in 1994, where they held a regular club night called Rooty, which would later become the name of their second artist album. In 1999, the group released their first full length album, Remedy, to wide acclaim. Remedy includes the "Red Alert", "Rendez Vu", "Jump N' Shout", and "Bingo Bango" singles. "Red Alert" was used in a Coca-Cola commercial. Basement Jaxx also released Jaxx Unreleased, a compilation of b-sides, remixes, and other assorted material, in 1999. Cover of RootyTheir next full length album, 2001's Rooty included singles "Romeo", "Jus 1 Kiss", "Where's Your Head At?", and "Get Me Off". The music video for album opener "Romeo" is a parody of a Bollywood movie. "Where's Your Head At?", which relies on a sample of Gary Numan's "M.E." for its hook, became a huge international hit in 2002 (see 2002 in music) and is perhaps Basement Jaxx's best known song. "Where's Your Head At?" was even featured on the soundtrack for the 2001 'Tomb Raider' movie, and Traktor's video for "Where's Your Head At?" (monkeys with human faces) has been praised by Mixmag as the best dance music video ever made. Xxtra Cutz was released just after Rooty, containing b-sides from this album's singles. 2003 brought Basement Jaxx's third full length album, Kish Kash, which included contributions from Lisa Kekaula (of the Bellrays), Me'shell Ndegeocello, grime MC Dizzee Rascal, Totlyn Jackson, JC Chasez, Siouxsie Sioux, and Phoebe. From this album, the tracks "Lucky Star", "Good Luck" and "Plug It In" were released as singles. The track "Good Luck" was re-released in 2004, after exposure from being the theme to BBC's Euro 2004 coverage, with a special remix. "Good Luck" is also in the soundtrack of Just Married, and Appleseed, an anime movie released in 2004. Kish Kash was recognised the following year at the 47th Grammy awards, winning Buxton and Ratcliffe the inaugural Best Electronic/Dance Album award.
