Mudvayne - Unorthodox fashion

The band was formed in Peoria, Illinois, in 1996 by vocalist Chad Gray, guitarist Greg Tribbett, drummer Matthew McDonough and bassist Shawn Barclay (replaced by Ryan Martinie in 1998). The music of Mudvayne has been described as math metal. The band first rose to fame in 2000 with their first single "Dig" from their debut album L.D. 50. For this song, the band won the first ever MTV2 Award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2001. The popularity of the song paved the way for the highly successful album and was followed by singles "Death Blooms" and "Nothing To Gein". In 2001, they released an extended version of the Kill, I Oughtta EP as The Beginning of All Things to End and continued their frequent touring.
