Tom Yorke - OK campaigner

Thousands of people gathered to take part in Wake Up to Trade Justice – an all-night event in London this Friday – to call for trade justice not free trade.Spanning Westminster and Whitehall, the multi-venue event, organised by the Trade Justice Movement, took in music, comedy, drama and inspirational speakers, and was the only mass protest during the election period.Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and solo artistes Ronan Keating and Beverley Knight were among the big names joining with trade justice campaigners to demand an end to the injustice in world trade that keeps millions in poverty.A little bit of Googling makes it apparent that Thom felt his presence would boost the profile of the rally, and it did just that. Whatever the case, Thom took it upon himself to play a short set at the rally that included some rarities. Fortunately, somebody with taping gear was apparently on hand to get a pretty good audience recording out of the event. Note the police whistles you can hear a couple of times.
